Why do people call the catholic religion a cult?

Some Protestant Christians take the disagreement of doctrine to another heartless level. But some Catholics are not angels themselves. I believe Catholics are Christians but I believe a little of their doctrine is wrong. If we all agreed, we would just be united as one.
