Law and Ethics Question?

So, one of my good friends, Sam, is in quite the situation right now. She is a minor at 11 years old. Her friend Jess, who is 12 years old has a 24 year old man living with her family; this man commonly attempts to intimately ociate with Jess and her friends, including Sam, but ultimately fails every time. This has been brought to the attention of police, and police now apparently intend on searching through every known female minor's cell phone that the 24 year old has text messaged, including my friend Sam. Sam has told me that she has some nude pictures of herself and other people on her phone, some of which are as old as 18. However, she has never been at all intimate with the aforementioned 24 year old. So my question is, when the police search the phones, will they just look at messages between them and the 24 year old or will they look at all messages and pictures? Also, what consequences could Sam, the people she sent inappropriate pictures to and the people she received inappropriate pictures from face?
