The quickest way to renew an Irish pport when I live in England? Or is it quicker to get a new British one?

I go on holiday in 8 days (3rd August) and my pport expires before then. I have an Irish pport but live in Leeds, United Kingdom. I am willing to travel anywhere in the UK to get a new pport as soon as possible (before 3rd August) - either to renew my Irish pport or apply for a first time new British pport. Please can anyone advise me the quickest thing to do to get a passport as soon as I can! (btw I am 15 so it will be a children's passport, but I have all of the necessary doents from my parents to get one)
