Do you think Sharia law is the same as a Dictatorship?

I live in a country which is based on democracy, i get to choses my goverment if i dont like my goverment i can vote them out.In a Dictatorship you dont have a choice you are told what you can and cant do in most aspects of your life. As far as i can see Sharia Law is the same.The people who inforce Sharia Law are not voted in and the laws which is based around the Qur'an differ from one country to another and as with a dictatorship if you do not follow Sharia law or oppose it you are delt with very harshly.Like end up in jail for naming a Teddy bear Mohamad or having a different opinion.
