I think i might be a bigot?

i only have friends who are like me thats why were friends,, something about us connects us,,, i dont make friends w/someone who is different from me,, isnt that what everyone does? i dont get what a bigot is..a person who is intolerant of opinions, lifestyles, or identities differing from his or her own, and bigotry is the corresponding state of mind. intolerant in what way?
