Room Ideas! I didnt have a lot of time to decide what i wanted to do in my bedroom, and ended up painting it..?

I am an artist and I have painted many rooms. One thing I have come to the conclusion is that since you are going to spend most of your time in your bedroom, take the time and trouble to make it look so nice that you LOVE going in there. My room looked horrible for years and I finally faux painted it with a border at the top and I love going into my room. With all that said, I would suggest you make a large rectangle on one wall and tape it off. Do a color wash in that area, maybe in darker blues. Then paint in some musical symbols (or use stencils) in the browns from your bedspread in the rectangle. Brown, white and blue is a nice combination. I get inspired by looking at what others have done, also. So you can do a search on Yahoo for "musical notes mural" and see "images". You can see lots of ideas this way. As for stencils, the source below has great stencils and you can even make your own custom ones. You could maybe get a favorite phrase done in stencils, too.
